Author(s): Anna Mucha-Malecka, Bogdan Glinski, Monika Wojtowicz, Krzysztof Malecki
Within the last decades stereotactic radiosurgery has become popular as non-invasive treatment of intracranial arteriovenous malformations. Radiosurgery successfully obliterates carefully selected arteriovenous malformations (superficially seated in the brain, with a nidus having a diameter less then 3 cm and/or volume not exceeded 10 cu cm) with a high therapeutic efficacy and law complications rate. This review will highlight arteriovenous malformations radiosurgery indications, and results.
